Backyard Spiderwort, Clicking with Shelly, and Washington-on-the-Brazos Photos

This and the next photo was edited with Picasa's updated version of free software.  If you're already using Picasa, download the new update - they've added several new tools.  If you're NOT using google's free Picasa software, check it out....it does some really nice stuff!

Lots of Spiderwort in the back bed....

The next several shots look like paintings....  They are all taken at the working farm out at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park.  Washington County is one of the prettiest counties in Texas, especially during the bluebonnet season.

The workers all wear period dress at the demonstration farm in the State Park.

Anson Jones' house in the State Park. Who remembers their Texas History?  Who was Anson Jones?????  By the way, who remembers the historical significance of Washington-on-the-Brazos?  Your Texas history teacher will be very unhappy if you can't answer this one! LOL.

I snapped this as the workers were leaving for the day.
